RACISM: A GOSPEL ENEMY
Revelation 7:9-10 says, “I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!’” God’s plan is to unite all people groups under the banner of Jesus, so it’s no wonder that forces of evil are trying to thwart that plan. The fight against racism is a fight that, I don’t believe, will be over until Jesus returns. But it is a necessary fight. We must keep speaking out against it. We must keep loving our neighbors of different colors. We must keep celebrating the diverse ways that God has made us in His image.
We must keep this plan in the forefront of our hearts and minds. Every day we must make choices of how we are going to treat each other. When displays of racism occur, we must speak out against it.
